Summer Term 1 - Go with the Flow!
We hope everybody in year 3 has had a super Easter break and have returned to school refreshed and ready for some fabulous learning.
This term, in line with the whole school theme 'Go with the Flow', we will be learning all about rivers and mountains in Geography. We will be finding out about the journey a river takes from source to mouth, researching rivers of the world and presenting our findings using the app - Lino it.
In English the key text will be 'A River' By Marc Martin, which will inspire us to write our own imaginative journeys along a river.
In Reading sessions children will focus on non-fiction texts linked to the theme, using diffferent elements from Reading Vipers to enhance comprehension skills.
Later in the term will we focus on Plants in Science - what they need to survive, different parts of a plant and their functions.
Fractions, followed by Time, will be the focus in our Maths session.
