Year 2 pupil Toby H scooped first prize in an art competition after his picture beat off hundreds of entries from pupils across the region.

Toby wowed judges from Howdens Joinery, who organised the competition, with his drawing of a golden eagle that was inspired following a visit to a bird of prey sanctuary in Loch Lomond, Scotland during the summer holidays.
Toby was presented with vouchers for £50 while the school also received £250.

The talented artist revealed he is looking to buy a new sketch pad and some pastels with his prize money.
